| The inaugural Kiwi TOGA was held on the 3rd-6th February 2006,
at Cairnwood, Masterton,
New Zealand
The Treadleon lexicon defines a TOGA as "Treadle On Gathering and Academy" a major Treadleonion festival where 'onions gather. TOGA TOGA TOGA A TOGA is a relaxed and informal gathering. Key elements are always food, laughter, friendship, sewing machines, sharing of ideas, food, buying, selling, and swapping. Participants bring their sense of humour, donations to raffle, exchange blocks, sewing machines and quilts to display, sewing items to sell or swap, problems, questions, ideas and suggestions Arrivals and Setup

Everyone contributed to Eleanor's bag, including Dick who sewed on the paua pieces Relaxing When the menfolk weren't helping out with the TOGA or doing odd jobs around the house - like putting the TOGA sign up on the barn they did get the occasional moment to relax
